Ingredients
- 1 cup raw almonds soaked in water overnight or for a day
- 2 cups of water
- 1 pitted date optional
- A dash of pure vanilla or cinnamon essence (optional)
Directions:
- Drain and rinse the soaked raw almonds. Remove the skin.
- In a blender blend the water, almonds, and date at high speed until a smooth creamy consistency is attained.
- In a container strain out the creamer using a cheesecloth.
- Avoid the above extracts and date if you wish to enjoy plain, unsweetened creamer.
- Store in an airtight glass blottle in the fridge
Notes:
- Almond skin can be left on the almonds to get a more nuttier flavor.
- Almonds can be replaced with cashew nuts.
- You can even play around with other nuts to see which creamer you enjoy the most.
- Or you can have creamer with different nut flavors, almond creamer has the most neutral flavor.
- More dates can be added for a sweeter option.
