It is now time to lead a healthy life, better to avoid the artificially sweetened carbonated drinks. Here is a refreshing Fresca recipe loaded with vitamins, minerals, omega 3 and fiber!

Yields
4 – 6 servings
Ingredients
- 4 cups of plain water
- 3 cups of grated peeled cucumber
- ½ cup of freshly squeezed lime juice
- ¼ cup of chia seeds
- 2 – 4 tbsp grated fresh ginger
- Raw honey or maple syrup to taste
Directions:
- Pour 2 cups water, 2 cups of grated cucumber and grated ginger in a blender and blend well
- With a fine-mesh strainer strain out the blended water
- In a container pour the blended water, remaining 2 cups of plain water, remaining 1 cup of grated cucumber, lime juice, raw honey or maple juice, chia seeds and stir well
- Allow to stand for 10 minutes until chia seeds expand
- Serve over ice in a tall glass and enjoy
Notes:
- Option 2 – Replace the cucumber with a bunch of mint leaves
- Option 3 – Enjoy with three ingredients only, i.e. chia seeds, lime juice, and water. Ginger optional. Add honey to taste
